Linear eddy current brakes are used wherever maximum reliability and absolute functional safety are required. Our speciality is jerk-free deceleration from high speeds with very high braking forces. Every brake you get from us is a system solution perfectly matched to your requirements.
Our brakes are characterised by the following features, among others:
- Braking forces up to 1,200 kN‘
- Fail safe‘, confirmed by TÜV Süd
- jerk-free, continuous force build-up up to maximum braking force
- without control and therefore completely independent of other systems
- non-contact and therefore wear-free
- safe and reliable under extreme environmental conditions, e.g. under water, in case of lightning strike
- no reduction in braking force in humid environments in contrast to conventional mechanical brakes
- Braking independent of the direction of movement
